Just over 1,000 full-time employees commit themselves to these projects as we strive to meet our mission of providing a safe and secure transportation system that smoothly moves people and goods.

Within the NDDOT, the Traffic Safety Office administers programs aimed at reducing the deaths, serious injuries, and economic losses associated with motor vehicle crashes in the state. The Traffic Safety Office supports targeted behavioral modification programs to advance the safety and welfare of the traveling public.
